Mullet fish

Mullet, a ray-finned fish, live in tropical regions and number 78 species. They are silver colored and 30 to 90 centimeters long. Covered with large scales, mullet has cigar-shaped bodies, forked tails and two different dorsal fins.

Mullet aquaculture depends on wild caught fry that are stocked in lakes as a monoculture crop, or in polyculture with carp and tilapia.
